2008-2011 QIO 9th Statement of Work Executive Summary Series

The QIO Program's 9th Statement of Work (SOW) contract cycle is August 2008 - July 2011. Under the 9th SOW, QIOs will focus on four main Themes: Beneficiary Protection, Patient Pathways (Care Transitions), Patient Safety, and Prevention. In addition, QIOs will be required to help Medicare promote three overarching themes: adopt value-driven healthcare, support the adoption and use of health information technology, and reduce health disparities in their communities.


The 9th SOW is summarized in a series of 1-2 page PDFs, organized by SOW Theme, by healthcare setting, and by Medicare priority.
