As part of the Quality Reporting and Improvement project, hospitals report data using standardized measures of care. Participating hospitals agree that they will allow public reporting of their quality measure data on the Medicare Hospital Compare website. Ohio KePRO helps Ohio hospitals accurately abstract data related to the quality measures focusing on inpatient processes, outpatient processes, mortality rates, and patient satisfaction topics, and submit the information to a national data warehouse on schedule. Medicare-certified hospitals under the prospective payment system (PPS) must meet data reporting requirements in order to receive the full annual payment update. Other hospitals, such as critical access hospitals, are also encouraged to participate.
Free Personalized Consultation Ohio KePRO provides Ohio hospitals with individualized assistance with abstracting quality measure data, transmitting data to the data warehouse, using validation results to refine internal processes, and meeting all requirements of Medicare’s Annual Payment Update.
