SIP Quality Measures/Rates
The SIP project has only 3 measures, and all related to antibiotic prophylaxis.
These measures include:
1. Antibiotics administered within 1 hour prior to surgical incision (except vancomycin which is 2 hours).
2. Prophylactic antibiotic selection is consistent with current recommendations.
3. Antibiotics are discontinued within 24 hours from surgery end time.
